The intention was to model IBR generation on a demo test system, no hidden agenda. You can use the original IEEE 39-bus and add IBR wherever fit your study purpose. Including the scripts, the data set serves as a template for you to modify. I would recommend for serious studies to use larger systems like the IEEE118 or even larger in the 2k to 5k buses system.
