you can use the -pyver startup flag to change which version you are running (if you are running python from pss/e)
eg here's my shortcut for v34 so it uses python 3.7
"C:\Program Files (x86)\PTI\PSSE34\PSSBIN\psse34.exe" -gohome -pyver 37
